Common issues
My image looks cropped
Use Fit if you want the full image visible. Use Cover if you want the image to fill the full Kobo screen, knowing some edges may be cropped.
My image looks blurry
Start with a high-quality image and make sure the correct Kobo device is selected before exporting.
My text is too close to the edge
Move the text inward and leave extra breathing room. E-ink screens usually look better with generous margins.
I selected the wrong Kobo model
Return to device selection, choose the correct model, preview the design, and export again.
The app does not open
Unzip the folder first. Then open the main HTML file in Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
My Kobo is not showing the screensaver
Confirm the exported file is a PNG, copy it to the correct Kobo location, safely eject the device, and restart or sleep/wake the Kobo.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Images and preferences stay on your computer. The app is designed to work locally.
